This is the second update in September 2026 2.2.0 (11). We are introducing an exciting new Navigate feature, just in time for Rolex Big Boat Series in San Francisco.
Introducing Navigation to Marks and Courses
Now, you can use the Pathfinder App to navigate to marks and courses.
- Manually drop or import marks from a GPX file and instantly view courses for your regatta
- View your marks and courses on the Live Map along with port and starboard laylines to the next mark on the course
- The Navigate screen will provide you with range and bearing to the next mark in addition to your port and starboard split times.
- See your tidal current projections overlaid on the same Live Map view to better visualize your course strategy.
Plus users will see port laylines (red), starboard laylines (green), and your current bearing to the mark (white) line. The predicted current is shown as an underlay in this screenshot.

How to Create Marks and Courses
Marks
To create a mark, go to the Marks and Courses screen in the Pathfinder App.There are several ways you can add a mark:
- Upload a GPX file with mark locations
- Enter a mark with range and bearing from your boat’s location
- Using Live Map screen, press and hold on a map location for 5 seconds. A mark is dropped and you will be prompted to name the Mark.
Courses
- Upload a GPX file (you can include both marks and courses)
- Manually add marks in your marks list in the rounding order to create and save a course
