Pathfinder Sailing provides sailboat race replay and performance analysis to help you get better starts and win more races. During your race, the Pathfinder Sailing™ iPhone app gives you real-time race information.  After racing, the race data from your mobile app is synced to the web app running in the cloud. From there, you can:

  • access your race replays
  • replay individual and fleet races for all boats using the Pathfinder Sailing mobile app
  • view granular performance analytics
  • add and edit your boat profiles

Race Replay

Virtual Race Replay shows your boat along with key performance metrics on a Google map. You can also see:

  • Your boat’s GPS location information and several of the metrics obtained from your instruments
  • Your boat’s individual boat’s track and performance
  • Fleet race replay if if other boats in your fleet are using the Pathfinder mobile app

To view your recorded races, just log into your Pathfinder web app by clicking on the My Pathfinder link in the main navigation bar.

Performance Analysis

Performance Analysis on the Race Replay page shows the performance data collected on the Pathfinder app from your instruments after the race. This is highly granular data collected every second . shows your boat data and key performance metrics in granular trend charts. This includes:

  • Your boat’s GPS location information and several of the metrics obtained from your instruments
  • Your boat’s individual boat’s track and performance
  • Fleet race replay for other boats in your fleet are using the Pathfinder mobile app

To view your recorded races, just log into your My.PathfinderSailing page

Export Race Data

Export Race Data is accessible via a button on your race replay page. It allows you to export your detailed race metrics in the commonly used Expedition format for offline analysis. Pathfinder also supports exporting race data in JSON format.

Boat Profile Management

 

The Manage Your Boats page is where you create and manage your boat profile(s). The profile includes:

  • Your boat name
  • Type or class of boat
  • Instrument manufacturer and model
  • Polars – either from our standard library of polars or your custom polar

Users can have multiple boat profiles – one for every boat they sail on.
